My name is Ari Koinuma, and Aries9 is my solo rock project. Since 2000, I've been active as a musician in a variety of roles -- recording producer, film composer, hired-gun guitarist, and so on. But in my heart the music of Aries9 has always been the core, the music that's most personal to me.

When the going gets tough, I always turned to heavy rock/metal with introspective lyrics to help me get through. And this music is my giving back of what my heros have given me -- it's the kind of music I want to hear in my darkest of times. Of course, it's just music, so I'll be thrilled if it speaks to you in any way -- perhaps BGM for when you're working out or something to put on when you're partying. But my intention has always been to make music that entertains, but goes beyond.

Pretty much everything you hear on the debut album, Darkness Reveals the Beauty of Truth, is me. That said, I really can't go on making music by myself -- I need your help. It's your support that will enable me to make more of this music, and to assemble a band and start playing out.
