The Landing

Yes, I have landed, to my destination.

I am in my new home in St. Paul, MN.

It was another long journey, a tough birth. Texas turned out to be hard to leave behind. Uprooting ourselves after 10 years, for a very arbitrary reason such as “being close to family” and “starting a new life” is not easy. The last 3 weeks of limbo land, the transition, felt like an oddly laborious vacation.

But now that I have landed, I can finally appreciate why we needed to go through all that.

It was to get here: a new canvas.

A new town. A new culture. Exploring a different part of the country, and of ourselves.

Thank you, God, for the reset button, and helping me push it.
