Shark

Started: 2002
Key: Em
Tuning: Standard
Structure: ABABCAB

Lyrical excerpt:
Hey, let's go down to hell
When the north wind rings the bell
Bring your sister's shell
Out here it's so hard to sell

Kill her secrets, one by one
Sacrifice to the sun

Hey, this will surely be fun
We'll never tell the nun

Maybe...baby...mayday.

Diamond Sleeps Tonight

Started: 2002
Key: Dm
Tuning: Drop-D/half step down
Structure: ABCABCDAEFDA

Lyrical excerpt:
Paulina, will you please come and meet Geordine
The drama of our deaths deserves a cool fanzine

Will you come and sleep with me?
Will you come and sweep with me?
Your imitation diamonds
Will you come and sleep with me?

Paulina, your dress hides your ugly rage
Alligator obscene replusive black tar cage

Tiny Toon

Started: 1996
Key: Bm
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABABAB

Lyrical Excerpt:
Took all this time to grow up
Is it a time to weave a coccoon
Dreaming about my white nightmare
Of turning into a tiny toon

I thought I kept walking
When did I leave my feet behind
I cared about what I'd become
Or did I seek out to be your kind?

Living with my black guns
Not knowing where to shoot

Key: Gm/A/Em
Tuning: Half step down

Pefect blue
That's my color
Pefect Peace
That's my policy
Don't disturb my noisy slumber

Half Step

Started: 1998
Key: E
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABCACABDAB

Lyrical Excerpt:
See it whither away
This life of consuming bars
Of restraing iron
Will you remember
Our laughters in crates
The slow bloom
The scenes of joy
The glowing tide of colors

You seemed so out of reach
But I

Step on the corner flower lane
And look for you
From the palace of no burdening shame
I saw you fall through

Cult (Falsetto)

Started: 1998
Key: Am
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABABCD

Keep running
Through the bottles of dark white water
And I run from you
Thinking that you are the one who will fill me up
Why couldn't I live with my own flower?
Was it too pale to keep?

Because I am tired of this

Lunar Ascent

Written by Nathan Hutson/Ari
Started: 1998
Key: Em
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABABCA

Empty party with policemen
Knocking on my wood
Nothing understood
Starving with some food

Shattered nails for the specimen
Out of frying pan
Into a guillotin fan
I'm trying to be a man

I love you
Attach me to your skin
I will keep it dry, dry, dry

Throwing Away the Key (At the Gate)

Started: 1998
Key: A
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABCBCDECA

So you want to be in Columbus' Sons
Kill off all those rainbow bugs
Deliver the garbage aluminum cans
Pass on the Old Glory bags

Your son
Aimed your prize at her face
Did you learn
Her name?

Outcast Probe

Started: 1998
Key: Am
Tuning: Half step down
Structure: ABABCDB

You took over the globe
Like a dome that replaces the sun
Never mind the outcast probes
They don't follow the game and are overrun

Outside
Did you hear the scream?
Inside
You control the stream
You save everyone that fits

Lucy Struck Out

Started: 2003
Key: D
Tuning: Half step down (bass is in drop-D also)
Structure: ABABCD

I've come this far
While crying for mercy
My tears all spent
I cannot run straight
I can't reset my past

I held on my fear
While fighting for the many
Many trapped hearts on the cold, dark street
They never went on the must-save list

See me fly
For the last time
For the last time to your side
